Garifuna Settlement Day

Today is Garifuna Settlement Day - ie. MLK Day for Belize, sort of.

The festivities celebrating today would be interesting but the Garifuna and their festivities are in Dangriga (we are near Corozal in North, Dangriga is south of Belize City), about a 4 hour drive.

So we will not be going.

For us, and you blog readers, it mostly means a national holiday - the clinic is therefore closed.

We will, however, be going to Altun Ha. This is an old Mayan site - pictures to follow!
