We were talking the other day about human waste.
How the invention of the toilet, maybe 200 years ago(1), in England, would continue to be used throughout the world, with little alteration in engineering, specifically in places where it is not a feasible option (ie. the entire developing/undeveloped world).
Someone mentioned that Bill Gates was behind some efforts to not just improve the toilet, but to come up with something different altogether(2).
And then we came across this, thanks to Jonathan McDonald.
Exciting stuff, if you are in to things like world health and human living conditions ... otherwise, not so much.
